BLOG 53: Thayer’s Milky Fest

Beauty is a full-sensory experience, and Thayer’s knows it. To celebrate the launch of their new Milky Toner and Snow Mushroom Cleanser, Revel Rouge had the pleasure of co-curating (alongside 1Milk2Sugars) the Thayer’s Milky Fest, a high-gloss, hyper-lush celebration of hydration, milky softness, and that fresh-faced glow. Designed with social media mavens in mind, with special guests Shelby Ann Bell and Nina Ghoulina, the event was a sensory playground where skincare met spectacle.

At every single step of planning and execution, detailed immersion was our mandate. Guests entered a world of Thayer’s: billowing white and red draping by Quest Events, a bursting floral chandelier decorated with bottles of product; Posy Flowers NYC transformed the space with florals that felt as milky and decadent as the toner itself. It was teeming, cascading, and photo-ready from every angle. L&M Sound & Light bathed the venue in a warm glow that ensured both guests and product looked perfectly lit for IG and IRL.

The experience was made for engagement. Guests posed for the Glam Bot, snapped content inside of a life-sized milk carton, and enjoyed immaculate vibes from the Milk Cart DJ booth. The Milky Store was a dedicated content-creating lounge, designed for stills, stories, and everything in between. We curated every detail for the cameras and their beauty-loving operators.

Adding a burst of playful energy were three interactive games: Spill the Milky, Toner Toss, and Pop & Glow, from which winners walked away with charming cow plushies and bottles of product.

With Marcey Brownstein Catering behind the scenes, the bites were as memorable as the beauty. Guests indulged in fried chicken sliders on buttermilk biscuits with hot honey, passed by aptly-dressed “milk men” servers, while the Milky Café served up an irresistibly sweet lineup. Think churros, chocolate chip cookies, and mini vanilla milkshake shots with red striped straws, all arranged around a towering white chocolate fountain with strawberries and marshmallows for dipping.

Specialty cocktails tied the whole concept together: Cherry Limeade (spiked or not), rimmed with Pop Rocks and served with a red-striped straw, Prosecco paired with a mini tequila popsicle on a branded stick, and a silky Coconut Margarita, rimmed in toasted coconut and lime zest salt.

Every sip and bite connected back to Thayer’s signature ingredients and textures. Light, clean, and undeniably crave-able. Milk cartons and bottles lined the space, transforming classic motifs into elevated décor.

At Revel Rouge, it’s never just about the look. It’s about the feeling. From the floral arrangements that reflected the product’s milkiness and liquidity, to branded popsicle sticks and custom cocktail details, we created an experience that unfolded across every sense. So when you see posts about the Thayer’s Milky Fest, know it felt as good as it looked.
