Revel Rouge Returns to Puerto Rico!

Something that we are especially excited about right now is the opportunity to book more international events! Revel Rouge had the privilege of producing a birthday celebration in our second home of Puerto Rico, a refreshing change of scenery from the already chilly New York City weather! Ocean views, lush greenery, and warm air created the perfect backdrop for a celebration that felt playful and elevated all at once.
Perhaps one of Revel Rouge’s youngest clients yet, requested a Marvel Universe “Spidey” theme for his birthday. Our team quickly learned that Spidey is in fact different from Spider Man, and we were off to the races. This birthday brought out the team’s inner child in the best way. We designed a custom spider web inspired step and repeat, a cake fit for Spidey’s metropolis, and Spidey decals that dressed the mocktail bar, party favors, and bespoke invitations. Every touchpoint gave a nod to the Marvel universe while still feeling polished enough for an event at a luxury location like Dorodo Beach.

One of the “hero” moments of the party was the webbed obstacle course. We treated it as a Spidey training ground rather than a run-of-the-mill kids activity. Young guests encountered a timed “mission” where they were challenged to see how fast they could complete the course. Paper spiders and photos of “villains” were taped into the set so that kids had to duck, dodge, and “save the city” without touching them.
At the end of the course, children were greeted with a “City Saved” moment and a Hero Training Certificate that officially named them a certified superhero. It was thoughtful, interactive, and memorable, which is always the goal. Even the ‘Spidey and His Amazing Friends’ theme song played as they crawled, climbed, and leapt through each section. It was adorable and rewarding to see the kids dancing throughout the afternoon!

One of the most interesting dynamics in children’s parties is the desire to create an experience that feels enjoyable for both the kids and the parents. We layered in live and interactive elements that felt meaningful rather than chaotic. The children spent the afternoon rotating between the custom Spidey bounce house, a specialty face painter, the obstacle course, a live bubble entertainer, and a live Spidey character who made an appearance for photos and playful moments. For the younger guests, we served Spidey themed mocktails (or Web Fuel, rather) complete with custom decals and garnishes, while the adults enjoyed refined cocktails that matched the coastal setting.

Revel Rouge loves to travel to produce events, and we are very excited about the increasing demand for our services globally for galas, milestone birthdays, branded events, and more. Bringing our aesthetic and our attention to detail to new locations keeps our work fresh and inspiring. For children’s parties in particular, we do not hold back. If anything, we lean even more into live installations, interactive storytelling, and thoughtful details to ensure that kids are entertained from start to finish, while the environment still feels chic, cohesive, and worthy of the milestone being celebrated.
