Midnight at the Met: A Halloween Bazaar

Leesa Rowland and Larry Wohl’s annual Halloween spectacle has truly become a night we look forward to all year and a staple on the New York social calendar.
Once again, we were thrilled to collaborate with them to bring a Halloween bash to life that fully embraced Leesa’s status as a modern scream queen: stylish, clever, and fun.

This year’s theme, “Midnight at the Met,” played on one of the city’s most beloved cultural nights. Guests entered along a custom step-and-repeat inspired by the Met’s iconic steps, setting the stage for a fashion-forward celebration. Inside, the cocktail hour created a warm buzz as friends reunited, admired one another’s looks, and eased into the evening.
Many arrived dressed in interpretations of past Met Gala themes from Camp: Notes on Fashion (2019) to Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion (2024) and Superfine: Tailoring Black Style (2025). Costumes became their own exhibition: bold silhouettes, meticulous details, humor, drama, and a clear dedication to the assignment.

From there, the night expanded into a full-scale gallery experience. Curating an event like this is such a privilege, especially one that challenges us creatively and gives us the chance to design immersive, interactive storytelling.
With Blace.co’s Chelsea Industrial as a 30,000-square-foot draped playground, founder, Hank Stampfl aimed to ensure guests were never bored. Thanks to Luminae Productions' inspired lighting design, the space came alive — a dynamic team that turns bland spaces into breathtaking experiences. Was breathtaking and immersive.

Kendall Kreations captured the spirit of the occasion perfectly, with a towering, Jeff Koons-inspired balloon dog that brought an unexpected sense of scale and fun to the room.

Live art unfolded in real time as Maia del Estal painted two large canvases throughout the evening. It was an intimate reminder of how ethereal it is to witness creativity in real time.
In partnership with @joinmostest, Colton Dane captivated guests with a mannequin installation that evolved into a dramatic 30-foot piece over the course of the night. A cheeky take on the infamous “banana artwork” offered a moment of levity, a subtle wink to the art world’s quirks.

And then, there was Cher (or as close as we could get).
Black Haus Creative delivered a performance and a look that belonged in its own museum wing: the impersonator arrived in a sparkling black sequin skintight jumpsuit, and with Cher’s unmistakable stage presence, and vocals, everyone congregated at the dance floor.

A strolling culinary experience produced by Marcey Brownstein, encouraged guests to move and explore the “exhibits.” Perfect Serve NYC is always such a treat to incorporate into our events.
Their bartenders transformed mixology into performance art with their signature flair pours featuring Biatch Tequila, adding yet another layer of spectacle to the night.

We produced “Midnight at the Met” with the same philosophy that guides all of our work: build atmosphere, design for discovery, and give guests space to enjoy the moment. It felt like wandering a museum after dark, but with better music thanks to @derozamusic, better company, and far more dancing.
It was Halloween at it’s best: elevated and expressive!
We cannot wait to see what’s in store for next Halloween.
Thank you, Leesa Rowland & Larry Wohl for hosting this exquisite evening. It is always a pleasure to collaborate with you.

It certainly takes a village!
Thank you so much to the following vendors and collaborators who helped make this spectacular night possible, we could not have done it without you.
