BLOG 51: An Evening en Rouge: The French Heritage Society Returns to the Hamptons

We’ve always believed that elegance deserves an encore. This summer, Revel Rouge was honored to bring the magic back to the Hamptons for our second curatorial iteration of the annual French Heritage Society Summer Soirée, an event that, as Resident magazine remarked, “proved that preservation can be just as glamorous as it is purposeful.” And if last year’s event was a dream, this year’s felt like déjà vu of the most marvelous kind.
With a host committee including Ann Van Ness, CeCe Black, Maria Fishel and Rosann Gutman, the evening once again unfolded across Maria and Kenneth Fishels’ extraordinary, ever-hospitable estate like a scene lifted from a Flaubert novel. Attendees arrived to find a vision of midsummer glamour, with artfully curated tables and decor infused with signature Revel Rouge charm.

The clink of Christofle ice buckets signaled the return of chilled Champagne and Whispering Angel Rosé; these sponsors, as well as DESTREE, known for combining Parisian sophistication with contemporary creativity, elevated the evening’s effortless refinement. And Chef Carlos Manansala delivered a culinary experience of such depth and quality, it felt plucked from the menu of a Michelin-starred Parisian dining room.
Our trusted partner POSY Flowers NYC worked their botanical sorcery just like last year, crafting arrangements that were lush and transportive. A symphony of creamy whites, wine-soaked burgundies, soft blushes, and crimson reds spilled across the sprawling grounds. And set against that gorgeous color palette, Grammy-nominated vocalist Jenn Jade saturated the atmosphere with sonic French elegance and pure joy. Given the magnetism of her Josephine Baker-inspired sound, it wasn’t just a performance, it was a moment. Backed by her brilliant band, she gave the soirée a pulse that kept hearts fluttering long after the last note.
As twilight settled over the estate, heartfelt words were shared by Maria Fishel, Jennifer Herlein, and Olivia Bourrat, grounding the evening in its inspiring purpose: honoring heritage while looking toward the future. The spirit of connection between France and the U.S., between past and present, was palpable. We remain sincerely grateful to Jennifer Herlein and the French Heritage Society team for entrusting us to curate the night for a second time. And we dare say, it was every bit as dazzling as last year’s.
