BLOG 57: Baby Abraham’s Hamptons Shower
Baby Abraham was showered in the truest sense of the word, with rain and abundant celebratory joy from loved ones. What was originally envisioned as a Ralph Lauren–inspired garden party was quickly reimagined into something even more extraordinary: an intimate indoor fête that captured the timeless sophistication of a Petit Polo theme.
At the front door of the Abrahams’ quintessential Hamptons home, guests were greeted by a striking balloon display and signage that officially marked the occasion. The Ralph Lauren teddy bear was nothing short of a gentleman presiding over the celebration. Dashing waiters in striped Polo aprons welcomed guests with refreshments, offering spirited and spirit-free options in the spirit of the mother-to-be.
There is something effortlessly chic about moving away from the traditional pastel palette that typically accompanies Gender Reveal Parties and Baby Showers. Instead, this mother-to-be opted for neutrals, deep blues, and greens with stripes and plaid. This palette was a tasteful nod to Ralph Lauren’s timeless aesthetic and to the adults who will make up Baby Abraham’s Hampton village. After all, it truly takes one to raise a petit gentleman.
At the Petit Polo Bar, guests were offered a curated selection of summer refreshments: Matcha Lavender Lemonade and a Watermelon Refresher, or more spirited pours of watermelon margaritas and rosé. Hors d’oeuvres circulated: cucumber lox bites, crab cakes, traditional pig in a blanket, an endless charcuterie spread display with sugar cookies shaped as polo hats, teddy bears, rocking chairs, and baby carriages. Each confection was so perfectly designed you almost didn’t want to take a bite. Almost….
With the DJ setting the pace (and a few unforgettable cha-cha lines), the baby shower became one of the most “vibrant” parties the Hamptons had seen.
The client herself captured it best in a thoughtful email to the Revel Rouge Team:
“Our original vision of a Ralph Lauren garden party may have been redirected by the rain, but what you created instead was even more special… an intimate indoor celebration that turned into the most vibrant dance party—something none of us in the Hamptons will ever forget.”
