Bravo’s Ultimate Girls Trip: A Revel Rouge Halloween Design
What happens when glamour meets the graveyard?
For Ultimate Girls Trip, Revel Rouge was challenged to transform the space into a completely immersive Halloween world for filming and we had less than five hours to build it.
Our creative direction was simple: gory, gorgeous, and completely over the top.
Rather than creating a traditional haunted house, we approached the design through the Revel Rouge lens: theatrical storytelling, unexpected details and just enough darkness to make the evening truly feel like Halloween.
Where Gorgeous Met Gore
One of our favorite details began with life-size skeletons. Instead of leaving them bare, we filled their rib cages with lush, beautiful florals, turning something grim into something unexpectedly glamorous.
And then came the gore.
We added fake worms crawling throughout the flowers, creating that perfect moment where guests had to look twice. From a distance: gorgeous floral design. Up close: delightfully disturbing.
That contrast became the thread running throughout the entire Ultimate Girls Trip experience.
Oversized, human-scale carnivorous plants and succulents were installed throughout the set, appearing almost large enough to swallow a guest whole!
Ravens watched from above, but even they received a custom Revel Rouge detail: individual lights were installed into the birds to create glowing red eyes. As the room darkened, the ravens red lit eyes helped bring the entire set to life.
A Graveyard With a Housewives Twist
Of course, this wasn't just Halloween. It was Ultimate Girls Trip.
We custom-made tombstones inspired by unforgettable Housewives moments, transforming recognizable quotes into cheeky epitaphs. Think iconic lines like “Mention It All” and “Take a Xanax.”
The result was a graveyard that felt completely specific to the world we were creating: gory yet gorgeous.
Baccarat Goes Haunted
Even a haunted bar deserves a little luxury.
To bring glamour into the darkness, Revel Rouge incorporated Baccarat chandeliers into the bar design. We draped the crystal fixtures in cobwebs and placed them on low dimmers, allowing the crystal to subtly glow through the webbing.
The juxtaposition was exactly what we wanted: beautiful Baccarat crystal transformed into something haunting.
Because Halloween doesn't have to mean sacrificing luxury.
Setting the Stage
The centerpiece of the experience was a custom stage created for the evening's beauty pageant.
Rather than allowing the stage to simply sit within the room, we built an entire haunted woodland environment around it with our friends, Posy Flowers NYC . Branches, birds, spiders and mysterious creatures surrounded the performance area and appeared to watch over the action from above.
Three judges' chairs set the scene, creating a strong focal point for filming while making the pageant feel like its own world within the larger experience.
Every element, from the glowing ravens to the creatures hidden in the branches, was designed not simply as decoration, but as part of the story. If you like the look, you can purchase items from our Amazon Storefront here!
Five Hours. One Complete Transformation.
Perhaps the wildest part?
The entire set was built in less than five hours for filming.
Television production requires creativity with speed. Every installation has to look pristine from numerous camera angles, support the action happening within the space, and be installed within an incredibly tight production schedule.
That's where Revel Rouge thrives.
For us, experiential design isn't about filling a room with décor. It's about creating a world where every flower, light, prop and unexpected detail contributes to the story.
For Ultimate Girls Trip, that world happened to include skeletons overflowing with flowers, carnivorous plants, glowing-eyed ravens, Housewives tombstones and Baccarat chandeliers covered in cobwebs.
A little glamorous. A little gruesome. And completely Revel Rouge.
