Celebrating the Fourth of July: The Revel Rouge Way
Creating a holiday celebration that feels tasteful and sophisticated is no small feat, but Revel Rouge has officially mastered it. This weekend in Sag Harbor, Revel Rouge brought an unforgettable event experience to life. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Noyack Bay, guests were immersed in an atmosphere where elegance and holiday magic came together.
On July 3rd, the Revel Rouge team began transforming a Hamptons property for a 4th of July celebration that embraced elevated Americana- capturing the essence of summer without feeling cliché. The expansive backyard was reimagined with modern furnishings, featuring big oval wooden tables and chairs with white details. On top of the table sat three arrangements of red, white, and blue wild flowers, vivid in color, and a multitude of candles. To the right of the dining area there was an outdoor lounge worthy of St Tropez’s approval with two identical pairs of couches, creating an inviting space for guests to gather. Facing each other, the modern white and teakwood couches were styled with a pop of blue, red, and blue striped accent pillows, adding a subtle nod to the holiday palette without feeling overly themed. In front of each couch Revel placed large, sleek, white coffee tables that were large enough to dance on. Emma carefully staged them with candles, coffee table books- in coordinating hues of reds, whites, and blues. The lounge areas were completed with navy and white striped bean bag chairs, adding a relaxed and youthful energy to the outdoor setting.
Anchoring the lounge was a white circular table, with an elegant, overflowing floral arrangement, which incorporated the event and holiday color palette. Surrounding the centerpiece were thoughtfully placed details, including candles, decorative lamps, chilled tubs of glass water bottles, and chic, white, portable fans for guests to use throughout the night due to an iconic heat wave. Nearby, the reflective mirror bar served as another standout design element, featuring two semi-circle structures, with bartenders between them. This texture was selected purposefully to pick up the nature elements surrounding and the reflection of the sunset. Subtle patriotic touches included napkins and miniature USA lettering at the front of the bar. The bar even featured Brooklyn's famous Solid Wiggles jello shots.
Just beyond the bar, in the passageway leading from the backyard to the pool area, the dance floor came to life. The client had made it clear she wanted her guests to dance the night away, and the large dance floor allowed for just that. The dance floor was white with the client's company logo in an American Flag design, and as the party began, the golden hour sunset was creeping its way onto the dance floor, a dreamy touch.
To the left of the table area were three curated food stations, each a different cuisine- still adhering to the Americana theme. The menus included “American Steakhouse,” “Southern Comforts,” and lastly, “Coastal Kitchen.”
The hot summer evening was not only an unforgettable success but also a true reflection of Revel Rouge’s ability to create elevated and effortlessly chic holiday experiences. It was through thoughtful details, such as floral palettes, textures and tones, that the team was able to create a subtle storyline of the 4th of July without relying on traditional decorations. One guest even remarked how the night was curated with precision; different areas for guests to flow through and a theatrical energy in the air. This celebration proved that a holiday event doesn't need to be overdone to feel festive and memorable and experiences come alive through thoughtful design, color, and atmosphere.
